From April 2017 to September 2017 I interned at Theatre in Paris, a small English-speaking box office in Paris, France that provides English subtitles over French theatre performances. Utilizing technology from PANTHEA, Theatre in Paris' parent company, visitors and expats are encouraged to experience all that Paris has to offer, creating this microcosm were tourists and locals are able to sit side-by-side and enjoy French theatre performances in the City of Light without a language barrier.

My role within the company started as Social Media Manager, but not long into the role I was given more tasks and roles to fulfill. From managing the social media accounts each day with the help of Hootsuite, I helped the marketing manager creating landing pages and perfect Facebook ads. I was also tasked with working alongside the Creative Director with graphic design work such as creating posters, brochures, helping keep the website up-to-date and photographing events. I spent many days researching and writing content for brochures, translating from English to French and vice-versa, writing and designing programs for theatre guests and creating and curating content for Theatre in Paris' own blog, as well as feature blog posts for other Paris-focused travel blogs. One of my goals throughout this internship was to better my French-speaking skills. To push myself to use my French more, I often met English-speaking guests at the theatre with their programs and tickets in hand and acted as the go-between for the guests and the theatre staff who often did not speak English.
